Send guests straight to the dates they asked about.
Make a link to your booking page with the dates, guests and promo code already filled in, plus a QR code for print. Guests skip the date picker and land on what's open for their stay.
Copy it from your browser’s address bar on your booking page.
Set up the code in your booking software first. The link only passes it along, so a code that isn't set up there won't give a discount.
Where to use it
Every time a guest would otherwise have to search.
Answering an inquiry
Someone emails or texts asking about Thanksgiving weekend. Instead of “check our website,” reply with a link that opens those exact nights, ready to book. One tap instead of five.
Event weekends
Posting about a festival, a race or a holiday weekend? Link straight to those dates, with a direct booking code if you have one. Guests see what’s open for the weekend they care about.
Weddings and group trips
Give the couple or the trip organizer one link with the wedding dates and a group code. They pass it to every guest, and nobody books the wrong night.
Past guests
A couple who comes every fall? Text them a link to the same weekend next year. It’s personal, and it books direct.
QR codes in print
A card in the room for next year’s stay, a flyer at a local event, a sign at the front desk. A QR code with a direct booking code sends them to your page, not an OTA app.
Local partners
A wedding venue, outfitter or event organizer nearby can share a link for their event dates. Their guests land on your booking page with the dates already set.
At Comal Inn, our direct booking offer works the same way. The code rides in the booking link, so guests never type it.
Booking software
What each one can fill in
From each company's own help articles. eviivo doesn't publish its format, so that one is from Comal Inn's own booking page. Link formats change, so they're rechecked every quarter.

Before you share it
- Test every link before you share it. Open it on your phone and make sure the dates, guests and code land the way you expect.
- A link doesn’t hold a room. If the dates sell out, guests see what’s still open.
- Set up the promo code in your booking software first. The link only carries it.
- Print QR codes at least 1 inch (about 2.5 cm) wide, and scan the printed copy before you print a stack.
- A link with dates in it goes stale after those dates pass. For cards that stay in a room, leave the dates out and use just a code.
Questions
Is anything I type saved or sent anywhere?
No. The link and QR code are built in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent to me or anyone else.
Does the link hold a room for the guest?
No. It opens your booking page with the dates and guests filled in. Availability is whatever your booking software shows when they tap it.
Will the QR code expire?
No. The QR code is just your link in a different form, so it works as long as the link does. If the dates in it have passed, guests will see no availability, so make a new one.
Why isn’t my booking software listed?
It’s only listed if the company documents how its booking links work, or I’ve tested it myself. If yours isn’t here, check its help center for “booking engine link” or “URL parameters,” or see what it supports on the integration pages.
Will the promo code apply automatically?
For booking software that documents a code in the link, yes, as long as the code is set up in your booking software. Hostfully, Uplisting, Firefly and rezStream don’t document one, and Cloudbeds uses a format this builder doesn’t handle yet. For those, share the code separately.
Can I see which links get bookings?
Only if your booking page is connected to Google Analytics. Booking tracking setup does that.
