RMS: prefilled Book Now links and filters for RV rigs

RMS North America serves outdoor hospitality, including RV parks, campgrounds, marinas and state and national parks. RMS also serves hotels.

   Book Now buttons to the booking engine

   RMS creates your booking URL in its URL Generator, under Setup, Online Bookings. With the new booking engine, RMS asks properties to replace old Book Now links with the new encrypted URL.

   Links by category

   URL modifiers create links to specific categories, like cabins or powered sites, so each page on your site can open the right one.

   Filters for RV sites

   Guests can filter sites by rig type and rig length, and by powered or unpowered. A site that’s open but too small for their rig moves to its own group with a note saying why, and no booking button.

   Extras at checkout

   Guests can add extras while they book, like late check-out, early check-in or bike hire. A site in the cart is held for 15 minutes while they check out.

Guests book on the RMS booking engine. RMS documents Google Tag Manager setup for it, so you can follow bookings in your own analytics. Your own pages about your sites and the area are still what Google and AI tools read.

Start with the link from RMS’s URL Generator. Add the category and rate type to the path, then arrival (A) and departure (D) dates as MM/DD/YYYY, adults (Ad), children (C), infants (I) and a promo code (Pc). Ct filters to a category and Ar to a specific site.

API. RMS has a REST API that can read your RMS data and write some back, mainly for reporting and syncing with other systems like a CRM. RMS publishes the specs and test credentials. A separate channel API is for booking sites and partners.

Payments. Deposits go through a connected payment gateway or by bank transfer. When RMS takes the payment, it pays out to the property once a month.

RMS’s help center has setup guides for dozens of booking sites, many in Australia and the UK. These are the ones most US parks ask about.

Build a page for each kind of site, like full-hookup RV sites, tent sites and cabins, and link each Book Now button to that category. Turn on the rig type and length filters. They answer “will my rig fit?” before a guest ever calls.
