eviivo with your own website, the way Comal Inn runs it

eviivo says it’s built for hotels, motels, B&Bs, guesthouses, hostels and short-term rentals, including cabins and units like tents, caravans and boats. Campgrounds and RV sites are priced by quote.

   A date and guest search built into your site that sends guests to eviivo’s booking page with everything filled in. It loads fast, matches your design and works on any website.

   eviivo’s booking button or search widget

   eviivo offers a booking button and a search widget you can add to an existing site. Its public pages don’t say whether they load as a script or a frame, so test it on your own pages before you launch.

   The WordPress plugin

   eviivo offers a WordPress plugin for its booking widget, if your site runs on WordPress.

Guests book on eviivo’s own booking page. Comal Inn’s lives at via.eviivo.com/ComalInn78130. That’s fine for Google, because your own pages are the ones that rank. It does mean you need cross-domain tracking in Google Analytics to see which visits turn into bookings.

eviivo doesn’t publish its search link format on its public site. This is what works on Comal Inn’s site: startDate and endDate in YYYY-MM-DD, adults1 for adults, children1 for children and noofrooms for the number of rooms. A promotion code goes in pce, and eviivo keeps it even before the guest picks dates.

API. eviivo lists a distribution API, a guest check-in API and a white label booking platform, and calls its APIs free, subject to security checks. Access is set up with eviivo. There’s no public developer documentation.

Payments. eviivo offers Payment Manager as an add-on for taking card payments.

eviivo describes these as two-way connections, with iCal for lighter ones. Hipcamp isn’t listed.

Skip the widget and build the search into your own site. It’s the fastest option on a phone, it looks like the rest of your site, and it’s been reliable for us. Set up cross-domain tracking on day one so you can see which pages actually bring bookings.
