Hospitable: a booking widget on each property page

Hospitable’s self-hosted Direct option is built for a website of your own. You add a booking widget to each property’s page on your own site, plus an optional search widget, and guests check availability and book right there.

Who Hospitable is for

Hospitable says it’s built for vacation rental hosts, co-hosts, property managers and owners, from one property up.

Ways to connect it to your website

  1. 01

The booking widget on each property page

One widget per property, on that property’s own page. Since August 2026 it loads through a script, so your site’s security settings need to allow Hospitable’s widget address. Your site has to use HTTPS, and every property needs its own page.

  2. 02

    The search widget

Optional. Guests search your properties by dates and guests, and the property’s booking widget opens with the dates filled in.

Where guests actually book

With the self-hosted widget, the booking happens on your own page and domain, and you control the page titles and content.

Hospitable’s API and payments

API. Account owners and admins can create API tokens with read or write access, meant for personal use. Not available on the Essentials plan.

Payments. On Direct Basic you connect your own Stripe account. On Direct Premium, Hospitable handles payments as the merchant of record.

Channels it connects to

Hospitable lists connections to big travel sites, vacation rental sites and Google.

Big travel sites
Vacation rental sites

Google Vacation Rentals works with a self-hosted site using the widget, for entire properties only. Other sites connect by iCal. Hipcamp lists Hospitable as an iCal connection.

What I’d do

Use the self-hosted widget. Give every property its own real page with photos, details and the area, and put the booking widget right there. That page is what Google and AI tools read, and the guest never has to leave it to book.

Either way, your own pages are what Google and AI tools read and recommend, so that's where the work pays off. I build direct booking websites around the booking software you already have, and I can move a site out of your booking software, redirecting every old page so your rankings carry over.

Questions

Is there a Hospitable WordPress plugin?

No, but you can paste the widget code into a Custom HTML block on a self-hosted WordPress site.

Does Hospitable work with Wix?

Hospitable’s Wix option uses an iframe, and Hospitable doesn’t recommend it because it doesn’t support Google Vacation Rentals.

Does my Hospitable site show on Google Vacation Rentals?

It can, for entire properties, with a self-hosted site using the current widget code.
