   A website built on the API

   Escapia’s booking API can generate quotes, check availability and create reservations. A developer only gets access once the management company turns it on, and the company picks which actions they can use.

Where guests book depends on how your site is built. Ask whether booking and payment happen on your own domain, and make sure you own the site and its content if you ever switch.

API. The HomeAway Software API uses OAuth and can generate quotes and create reservations. Each management company approves which developers can connect. Escapia also has a partner API for rates and restrictions.

Payments. Escapia lists partner processors, including Authorize.net, Celero and Ascent. Trust accounting is built in.

Escapia lists more than 30 direct connections with no distribution fees, including Vrbo, and says it’s a Vrbo Elite Connectivity Partner. Airbnb, Booking.com and Google go through EscapiaConnect, its channel manager, which has a monthly fee per property.
