Works with Little Hotelier · Inns, B&Bs and small hotels

Little Hotelier: a Book Now button or a booking engine on your page

Little Hotelier’s booking engine works with your own website in two ways. You can add a Book Now button or a date picker that opens its booking page, or embed the booking engine right on your site so guests never leave your domain. The embedded option needs Little Hotelier to approve your domain first.

Who Little Hotelier is for

Little Hotelier says it’s built for B&Bs, boutique hotels, guesthouses, motels, inns, lodges and other small properties.

Ways to connect it to your website

  1. 01

    The embedded booking engine

Runs inside your own site, keeps your branding through the whole booking and switches to full screen on phones. Submit your domain to Little Hotelier for approval first.

  2. 02

Book Now and date selection widgets

A Book Now button, or a date picker where guests enter check-in, check-out and guests before the booking page opens. Custom widgets can set things like a default number of nights or a language.

  3. 03

    Plain links

Link straight to your booking page, a promo code or a specific rate plan.

Where guests actually book

The hosted booking page lives on direct-book.com (Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas) or book-directonline.com (Asia and the Pacific), at an address with your property’s channel code. With the embedded engine, guests book on your own domain instead.

Little Hotelier’s API and payments

API. Properties on Direct Booking can use the Direct Booking API for live pricing, availability, rooms and rates in a custom booking experience. Little Hotelier says it’s best suited to properties with a developer.

Payments. Little Hotelier Pay, available in 31 countries and territories.

Channels it connects to

Little Hotelier lists connections to big travel sites, vacation rental sites and Google.

Little Hotelier says its channel manager reaches more than 450 channels. Google Hotel Ads is an add-on on the Basics plan and included on Pro.

What I’d do

If you can get your domain approved, embed the booking engine on your own site and keep guests there from search to confirmation. If not, put the date selection widget on your homepage and room pages, and use promo code links in your emails and social posts.

Either way, your own pages are what Google and AI tools read and recommend, so that's where the work pays off. I build direct booking websites around the booking software you already have, and I can move a site out of your booking software, redirecting every old page so your rankings carry over.

Questions

Can guests book on my own domain with Little Hotelier?

Yes, with the embedded booking engine. Otherwise the booking page is on direct-book.com or book-directonline.com, depending on your region.

Is there a Little Hotelier WordPress plugin?

Little Hotelier doesn’t list one. Its code goes into a Custom HTML block, and its help center says some WordPress setups may need a plugin that allows custom HTML.

Can I link to a promo code or rate?

Yes. Add promotion_code, ratePlanId or room_type to your booking page link.
